Effective Communication in Building Teams Using StrengthsFinder®

Course Outline

For decades, the Clifton StrengthsFinder® assessment has helped people excel. Gallup research has shown that people who do focus on their strengths every day are six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs. They are more productive both as solo performers and in teams, and they are more than three times as likely to say they have an excellent quality of life. This workshop is designed for you to learn about your strengths and how to use them towards greater teamwork. Once you start to be self-aware of how you make decisions, you can communicate your expectations effectively with your team members.

Course Objectives

  • Learn about your Top 5 strengths using the Gallup StrengthsFinder® Profiling tool, and how these strengths value-add to the team
  • Learn to effectively communicate about how you are wired and some of the motivations behind your actions using the StrengthsFinder® framework
  • Learn to develop strong interactive communication skills to strengthen relationships across the team, departments and hierarchical levels
  • Learn to understand and manage conflict, differences in values and priorities from a strengths-based perspective
  • Learn to understand your own decision-making process and how you would want to communicate to others and be communicated to in a professional setting
