Course Outline

Effective communication is the key to building quality relationships. Using the Clifton StrengthsFinder® profiling tool, professionals can identify their dominant talent themes and understand their naturally recurring patterns of thought, feeling and behaviour that could contribute to the way they communicate. This workshop is designed to help you bring out the best in yourself when communicating with your partners or team members.

Course Objectives

  • Learn about your Top 5 StrengthsFinder® talents, and how these strengths affect your perspective of the world
  • Learn to use these StrengthsFinder® talents to understand your own style of communication and the styles of your partner/team members
  • Learn to identify keywords that may trigger a negative response due to the strengths-based perceptions and manage potential conflicts
  • Learn what is most important to the other party during decision-making processes based on their strengths and effective ways of communication
  • Learn your preferred communication style and practical steps to help others understand your thought processes
  • Learn to ask the right questions to understand another person's point of view and to facilitate conversations that would improve the quality of your vital working relationships
  • Learn about effective methods to leverage on the complementary communication styles that your partner/team members may have as well as turn these differences from potential clashes into effective partnerships
